Y00…back home!
Went for lunch at KAP, (and it was RAINING!), ate Fillet-o-fish, and met gor there – he was late (SLIGHTLY) LOL hahaha. Then anyway after a while, I ran half the way (and walked the other half) to the bus-stop and took a bus back to NYGH, because Chinese Orchestra practice was from 1 pm to 4 pm. I hurriedly grabbed my liu3 qin2 and stuff and raced into the Music Room, where we had our da4 zu3 (on Saturdays), and as I stepped in, 30 minutes late, the teacher was in the middle of a lecture about PUNCTUALITY!!! The IRONY of it!!! LOL. After I’d finished finetuning my instrument in the Instrument room, I came back to the music room, and the teacher had (thankfully) finished the lecture on punctuality, but she was giving ANOTHER lecture on how you should ENJOY ALL your practice sessions…hahaha, scroll through my blog and you’d find many instances of me complaining about the practice sessions. well, throughout BOTH lectures, I was trying to hide and feeling EXTREMELY guilty. Firstly, the obvious one, I was LATE. Secondly, whenever I had Chi Orchestra practice sessions, I always MOANED and COMPLAINED online on my blog, or to my friends…LOL. So anyway, I didn’t check my h/p during da4 zu3, after the break, so, erm, I KIND OF made someone wait or something like that (hopefully not)…I’m gonna DIE!!! :P joking. But I feel reaaal guilty. Anyway I went shopping with Mom after practice, and bought lots of things, among which was a nice new black thread with a silver clasp, to hang my necklace pendant on (in school, they only allow pendants on threads; they don’t allow chains and the likes). It’s soo PRETTY! *grins* So anyway, after a while, at 8.30, I’ve gotta go watch a Chi film with my family. It’s a KIND of Chinese opera, but the MODERN, less opera-ish kind. It’s called a huang2 mei2 ju4 and they’re nice, provided you’re as “into” Chinese culture as me, and the MUSIC’s nice too! :D Kae..better get online now…10 mins to chat…

so anyway, there's this cool horoscope site from which I got some astrological personality (different from profile) about the various horoscopes sign. I'm a PISCES (1st March)...so hte profile below is mine:
1. Pisces Romantic Pisces, you are the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac. You are regarded as the sign of sensitivity and receptivity, and are a true chameleon by being mutable and infinitely complex. Your keywords are communion and vision, and you have the capacity to go beyond this world to the one of dreams and the spirit. Your ruler Neptune, the planet of confusion and chaos, gets people out of habits that imprison them so that they question themselves and can discover another path toward growth and spirituality. Neptune is also the planet of imagination and illusion, and governs the dream world with all its many facets. Pisces is the third of the three water signs, which means that you are concerned with the realm of emotion and feeling. You deal with sensitivity, intuition, and deeper psychic aspects of life. You are able to conduct unconscious telepathic communication with others. Your sign rules the twelfth house of the chart, the sector associated with the unconscious, need for seclusion, and places of restriction. This house describes the wellspring of your being, including psychological problems that you repress. This house is very healing and can promote personal and spiritual growth, once you make the effort to go deeper and face YOUR reality. Pisces is a mutable sign. You adapt to the exigencies of life and ingeniously melt into circumstances like a chameleon. In your interaction with others, you are personable and compassionate, and successfully connect on a deep emotional level. Your strengths, dear Pisces, lie in your altruistic and empathetic nature, because you feel the urge to help people less fortunate than you. Your sensitivity and intuition make you a true healer. Your strong imagination and highly evolved creativity predispose you to artistic expression. Your main weaknesses are that you can be weak-willed, passive, and indecisive. Many times, you prefer to escape reality and indulge in your dreamworld. Chaos and confusion can be present in you, which may frustrate your circle of friends. At the same time, you can be oversensitive and fragile, feeling victimized by others. 2. Aquarius Your sign, dear Aquarius, is the eleventh of the zodiac and is considered to be the sign of perspective, the future, and new projects. The water bearer symbolizes intellectual development through communication and innovation. Of all signs, you are the most idealistic and humanitarian, with a strong sense of community and fraternity. Your ruler Uranus, the planet of change and revolution, represents originality and a strong drive for adventure and freedom. Uranus is also called the rebel planet, and its energy is radical, sudden, and unpredictable. Aquarius is the third of the three air signs, which means that your intellectuality is expressed as an intuitive grasp of universal principles, along with a concern for the universal well-being of humanity. Aquarius rules the eleventh house of the chart, the sector associated with friends and groups, intellectual pleasures, socializing, and attitude toward society. However, it also describes personal hopes and wishes, as well as collective trends and humanitarian issues. Yours is a fixed sign, which means that you resist manipulative behavior. You form your own opinion, however unusual it may be, and refuse to adapt. If someone dares to push, pull, or pressure you, they will definitely get to know your stubborn and eccentric side. Your strengths definitely are that you are accepting and sympathetic to many points of view, and are equipped to understand each of them. This wide sphere of understanding causes you to be idiosyncratic. You are an unusually independent and wildly unique individual with a profound spiritual bent. Your intuition, loyalty, and resourcefulness make you a fun person to be around. Naturally, you have some weaknesses, too, the most pronounced one being that you can be erratic in your actions. At times, you can be scattered and unrealistic, and confuse your own will with the greater will. Sometimes you can also be detached so that others see you as cold and inaccessible. 3. Aries Dear Aries your sign is that of energetic Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, the sign that is associated with Spring, and the symbol of rebirth and all beginnings. Mars, the planet of action, is the ruler of your sign, and provides you with an extra portion of activity, assertiveness, and willpower. This makes you the fighter and the pioneer of the zodiac, who faces challenges with courage and bravery. If you do something you do it with passion and determination! If something bores you, you quickly move on to more interesting things. You are the first of the three fire signs, an ambitious and charismatic individual, cheerful and enthusiastic in your undertakings. Others see you as outgoing and self-confident, and like to be around you. As an Aries, you rule the first house, the section in the chart wheel that describes the outward behavior of a person, the disposition, appearance, manners, and the sense of self. You are a cardinal sign, which means that you don't wait around until others take action. In other words, you initiate action immediately, forcefully, and directly. Your strengths lie in your qualities as a leader; you inspire and motivate others with your enthusiasm, honesty, and straightforwardness. Since you are competitive, you need challenges like others need air to breathe. You are known for pushing any obstacles out of the way, and trust your instinctive nature. Your independence and power allow you to achieve your goals easily. However, you have your share of weaknesses, too; for example, you can be impatient, and run the risk of acting too impulsively. At times, you can be self-centered, and tend to overlook that others might have a different point of view. When they do, you can become stubborn and intolerant. Also, since you are slightly unorganized and unsettled, you are capable of driving others crazy. 4. Gemini Your sign is that of witty Gemini, the third sign of the zodiac, the sign that is characterized by communication. Geminis are very intellectual individuals, and are forever interested in broadening their horizon - they are eternal students! Mercury, the planet of communication, rules your sign, and makes you an articulate and versatile person. You are outgoing and sociable, and due to your lively attitude, you are the born entertainer. Clever and ingenious, you usually get what you want with your charm and wit. First of the three air signs, you are a dexterous, multifaceted, and flexible individual. As the most diverse and eloquent sign of the zodiac, you crave mental stimulation above all. Your curiosity, combined with your ability to synthesize information, makes you the messenger of knowledge and information. As a Gemini, you rule the third house, the sector of your chart that describes how you perceive, process, and communicate facts. It also has to do with short journeys, siblings, neighbors, and anything within arm's reach. Your sign is a mutable sign, responsible for keeping information flowing. You are gifted in adapting to situations and making compromises. Of all the zodiac signs, you are the peacemaker and troubleshooter who actively finds solutions to tricky situations. Your strengths, dear Gemini, lie in your cleverness, inquisitiveness, and openness to exploring new ideas. Once you have found something that interests you, you proceed with logic and scientific precision. However, as soon as you've consumed a subject, you are also able to switch your focus to a new topic. With your naturally practical and skilled approach, you excel in whatever you put your mind to. One of your main weaknesses is that you can be shallow and hypocritical in your dealings with others. You can confuse people with your unpredictability and cynical attitude, and they might not trust you completely. Since your brain works so quickly, you tend to be nervous, restless, and anxious, which sometimes leaves you highly irritated. ha. tell me if you want your sign to be put up here........
A few days ago, I fell sick (nearly) due to too little sleep and too much homework and stress.....got feverish, but then i ate Vit C tablets and drank lots of water that I was quite okae the next day...though rather sleepy and exhausted. Well, when people get feverish they feel awful, and I couldn't go online and bug people about it, so I smsed certain people and bugged them, (hahaha when I'm feeling low I'm always looking for people to "sayang" me...typical Qintan characteristics...) so i got a bit of "sayang" via sms and was more or less appeased LOL. (argh, what happened! my writing skills seem to have degraded! LOUSY narrating skills now..) SO anyway, there's an Inter-sec 2- GEP Amazing Race competition.....! *grins* basically, it's a miniscule imitation of hte Amazing rAce, where you have to run around singapore to complete tasks, and there are some obstacles in the way. You have to pair up with someone in the same school, and you go for the auditions, which is basically an interview. Anyway, the auditions are on Thurs, 6th Feb 3.30 - 5.30 (anytime during this period - audition is only 10 mins), OR 7th Feb, Fri, around 4-5pm...it's at RI and the instruction on the paper says "meet at RI porch"... I paired up with Manyun and we're going to go for the audition on 6th Feb, 3.30pm. hahaha...so see you guys there. But then anyway, IF IF IF (in the worst scenario) Manyun and I don't get into the finals, I'll sign up as a camera crew! it's FUN too! you get to stay for the 3D 2N Amazing race n get accomodation for free....basically what you do is you follow ONE of the 14 teams around, and take shots of them / film them etc. Each team gets their own camera crew.. and I get to choose my OWN team LOL.....:p so if you manage to get into the finals and I don't, and you want me to be your camera crew, tell me so. I'll take up camera crew position happily -- it's FUN! (not to mention, u get to either cheer or jeer at the team, and photograph them doing some funny stuff etc :P JOKING JOKING) But anyway i WANT to be selected as one of 14 teams in the finals.....there's gonna be an Amazing rAce dinner for all contestants at the end, n you get to stay overnight, and enjoy all the fun etc...though i might get sunburnt LOL...okae..i forgot to mention this: you've got to pay a fee of $5 for the audition, and IF you get in, a fee of $30 for the race itself. BUT you'll get free "leg money", and if you save and save on transport, the "leg money" which isn't used will be yours. the team which reaches the destination first will get $300 as prize! whoa! :P but overall, it's FUN and you want to join it, not coz of the cash... kae...enough of this. now onto CAP.....this is the application procedure to join CAP, for those aspiring to be in the programme: 1. you do a portfolio of your works, which are SELECTED based on their quality and content. can be poems or prose. 2. you submit THREE COPIES of your portfolio (to your eng Lit teacher), and keep your original Portfolio, since the 3 copies aren't going to come back to you. 3. You get an APPLICATION FORM from your eng lit teacher, and you fill it up, and you SUBMIT it. 4. You wait for the CAP judging panel to announce whether you're selected. Your teacher will inform you on whether you are selected or not around March or April. Now. for the CAMP itself, it's from the 2nd of June to 6th of June 2003, and previously it's been held at the NUS, so i suppose the same location for this year, too. it's a residential camp (FUN! :P) and......you've got to pay $100 for it, which includes meals, accomodations, and course materials etc. that's it...basically. i THINK you've got to form some groups and put up plays i THINK....anyway, that's all i know...ask your english lit teacher for more details if you think this isn't detailed enough. I'm hoping to get in...:-) and btw...i've got a NEW POEM done ("fallen stars")..some of you have read it but i'm too slacky to put it up. so. seeya. |
