sigh. just went for the CNY celebration at Dairy farm. It's laaaaaaaame. only a whole bunch of aunties and uncles and their little kids. no teens to play with / hang around. I went down with my sis, left her to interact with the little kidd0s, ate some pineapple tarts and springrolls, took 2 mandarin oranges (given to me by the guard), and went home, walking in the drizzle.

the pale, invisible, delicate of strands, of rain cascading, like a curtain, from the overcast sky, reflected my thoughts at the moment. i felt so...grey. so lonely, like that single strand of water falling down. no neighbours (except for renyi) to play with. what a cold estate. i hear some sounds and laughter, hurriedly push aside the white lace curtains, open up the window, crane my head out, only to discover a deserted (badminton) court, wet from the rain, and some adults walking. in disappointment, i yank the window down again, draw back the curtains, and sit stoically on my bed, downcast. why is it that, this neighbourhood is just like the buildings in it -- all clear, pure white, with no other colours?

after that, i went for a refreshing bath, cheered up again. hmm....maybe the estate IS indeed lacking in terms of social relationships, but in PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL terms, it is not lacking! the estate ROCKS!!! the buildings are all whitewashed, simple, yet elegant. the estate is BIG, and there are little stone paths spanning the whole of the estate, lined with flowering shrubs (and the occasional butterflies flitting amdist them), shaded by tall, dense trees, and there is a BIG, lovely, lush green LAWN near the centre, which boundary is marked by coconut trees swaying in the breeze, backed by the low-rise, white buildings, with Swiss-style roofs. BEAUTIFUL! it's always windy and rather cool here, too, since it's near the CEntral Catchment Area (Bkt TImah).

As to the SPORTS section...EVEN BETTER!! haha...see, you can basically do LOTS of SPORTS here....
a. the ball sporots. badminton (badminton court; can play in squash court too), tabletennis (there's tabletennis court in the clubhouse), tennis (tennis court outside North GAte), squash (squash court rite beside tabletennis court).
b. SOCCER (ahah.) people always play soccer in the LAWN.the lawn's wide enough. just take care not to smash the windows of the low rise building.
c. volleyball: no specially designated court, but can always use the open-air badminton court, the net, and all. haha.
d. SWIMMING: haha. the swimming p00l's cool. deepest pt -- 2.1 m. :-) guess what you can do there. PUSH PPL IN wahahha. and last time, this bunch of creaaaaative RI basketballers were playing BASKETBALL IN THE POOL! talk abt creativity and innovation. they brought a temporary basketball net/ stand and shot from inside the pool. they ACTUALLY ASKED ME to join them....so c000l...but my ST00pid SIS JUST HAD TO BE THERE TOO, so i just couldn't play with them. siigh. JOKING. haha. but STILL.
e. Rollerblading / skateboarding / skate-scootering: ROLLERBLADING ROCKS!!!! best, rollerblade in the carpark of my block. it's a continuous path, circling my block (35) and the opposite block (33). smoooth cement floor, so in case you fall, you're all rite. slight slopes, so a bit of thrill. if you want HARDCORE THRILL, i suggest you try the STEEEEEEP SLOPE that leads from the guardhouse right down into the carpark road. reaaaaaaaaaal scaary. i tried it before in P6, when i had more guts and wasn't so afraid of falling down, and when i had my OLD blades (which had more friction, thus skidded less). reaaaaaal EXHILARATING!!!!! should give it a try, those zai/ pro skaters out there. oh...the SOUTH GATE SLOPE is COOL too.. LESS STEEP, but STILL STEEEP all the same. it has a HUMP near the bottom to add to the excitement too. haha. i telll you..the HUMP'S COOL!!! reaaaaal fuuun.

hmm...my estate sounds soo fun doesn't it? (besides the ppl, that is, haha). so anytime you wanna come down to play, just tell me. you'd be welcome, unless i've something on that day and am not free.

here's the post for FRIDAY.

Friday:

it's....VALENTINES' DAY!!!! and total defence day too. but the school just seems to completely IGNORE the fACT that it IS valentines' day (no celebration, no nothing), and OVERHIGHLIGHT the fact that it's total defence day. hmmm....no fair, no fun. Anyway i ABANDONED MY PLAITS haha and tied my normal high ponytail. i got a BEAUTIFUL rose!!! *grins* very artistically arranged, yeah. it's a nice colour, good combination, red and white....(reminded of SIngapore flag hahaz)

anyway, after school, had AEP, after AEP, went home. what a boring day for a day like VAlentines Day. haha...JUST KIDDING!!!! :P:P:P "don't think wai wai", as i always say. :P

at home, went on MSN, and had a really nice conversation with zhengxun gor. I think it was the best i had in ages.REALLY HELPS to pour out all your thoughts, troubles and feelings to a listening ear, and listen to others too. and by listening, do you know you actually do people a great favour? you are giving them space, for them to say what they want. it's as though...someone actually understands them? at the same time, by confiding in others, you are doing them a favour too. you MAKE them FEEL that they CAN be trusted, and thus make them FEEL GOOD, trustworthy, and a good friend. 0oops, sidetracked. so anyway, it all started with a simple question, "do you ever feel sad?" and I was going on about depression, and academic depression, (when i don't get the grades i want), which is, for ME, a really SUPERFICIAL kind of depression, and it's only 20% of all my depression. most of the depression is because...of loneliness? I shouldnt' talk about this on my blog -- it's kind of, personal. but anyway, i went on talking about the different kinds of friends yeah. I'll just leave it as that. all i can say is, it really helped. haha. i think zhengxun is really trustworthy, not like SOME PEOPLE (but nvm). i used to think of him only as an "evil, sadistic, chauvinistic gor" hahahz.

so anyway, still, a BELATED HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! oh wait..i can't figure why people use "happy". they should use "warm". it's more appropriate. stop, let's try it again: a BELATED WARM VALENTINES DAY to you ppl out there!! ----lots of smiles, from Qintan. :D:D:D

and, here's the post for THURSDAY.

Thursday:

today, got my plaits again, didn't get bullied as much because ...because. hahahz. Anyway there's nothing much to narrate about school, just the after-school events.

AFter school, Sheueying and Michelle went with me to KAP to eat lunch. we arrived there at around 3, and surprise, surprise, met yiliang and co. sitting there eating lunch. we sat at a table near them and got our lunch too. i got my normal fillet-o-fish, and was debating that the fillet-o-fish was laaaame and nooo, i wasn't gonna eat a laaaame burger. (yes i KNOW it sounds lame, but well, I was in a...over-lively, over-bouncy, cannot-sit-still mood that day.) after that jieliang smsed me that he was here, he said "look to your left" and I did, and found 2 tchs guys sitting together (was Jieliang and his friend Junyi), in a table near yiliang's table. then he said "you would have known who i am by now" but there were TWO so how did i know. well kinda weird coz he already knew which one i am, coz i told him "look out for the girl in nygh pe tshirt, 2 plaits, and a red waterbottle" haha so obvious, but i STILL didn't know which one was him. so i replied an sms, and jumped up and down, trying to see which was the guy smsing with a dark blue handphone. still didn't find out, because sheueying kept tugging me down saying "it's SO obvious". in the end he just waved, and asked me to come over to that table, but i was saying, "nooo0 noo00 YOU come over to OUR table", and Mich was saying "you're being LAME smsing when you're only a few tables apart. waste of smses." haha. in the end jieliang gave up and went over haha. then we were like, poring over his O level Bio paper, and it was EASY! esp the first few pages.i mean, like SEC ONES could do it! really! well at least the MCQ section haha. then anyway, after a 2 HOUR lunch, i FINALLY finished my lame fish burger and Mich, Sheueying and I headed for my house (since they were coming over to play badminton with me).

It was rather windy outside, so i booked the Squash court and went to play badminton inside. at the beginning Sheueying and I were playing against Mich, then I was saying "i wanna play alone" so sheueying and Mich played against me. it was rather okae for me, actually. grin grin. :D Mich was the stronger of the two. Sheueying's rather weak in receiving "smashes" (a smash is basically when you hit the shuttlecock to your opponent very fast and hard), basically, she's weak in receiving fast balls, so i kept hitting fast balls to her and enjoying the surprised look on her face. heh~ mean, ain't i? :P:P:P anyway after 1 hour, Mich left for her swimming training, and sheueying and I continued, but I was playing with my LEFT hand with her, since I wanted to train up my left hand. I foudn out that my left hand executed the "smashes" well because my left hand had more STRENGTH, while my RIGHT hand had more flexibility and agility (therefore better in normal serves and backhands).

anyway after the game, we went to the shops, bought icecreams, and sat on the swings at the playground talking to each other. (i TOLD you she was my confidante and one of my best friends heh). then she went and bought ANOTHER icecream while i sat looking at my wallet full of notes but NO COINS LEFT. so in the end i couldn't resist anymore and decided to take some of her icecream, in the end dropping her icecream on the floor haha. then we went for a walk, talk talk and talk, and she went home at around 6 pm. FUN DAY!

Well SORRY but i FORGOT what happened on Tues so I can't possibly blog for Tuesday...:S:S:S :P:P:P so well:

Wednesday:

it's a SCHOOL HOLIDAY! yay! went to Manyun's house today, and had LOTS of fun.

at first Mom didn't let me go, because she didn't really know the way and thought going to her house to PLAY was a WASTE OF TIME. so i PERSUADED her, and ranted on and on about how they only worked and never play, making them robots, and I wouldn't like to become one too, and then crapped on and on about how one should not just blindly follow hectic schedules, like busy ants who did not have a mind of their own, but should fully ENJOY LIFE, by being with friends, doing the things that you like (hobbies...in this case, playing sports with friends), and "do you know that, if you're successful in your academic and career life, but you're not happy, there's NO POINT IN LIFE! you HAVE TO ENJOY LIFE! you ONLY LIVE ONCE and life is not ETERNAL, so whyfore waste your whole life working like busy ants, never having a personal space away from work to ENJOY LIFE with your family, and your FRIENDS!" (yes i DID say that haha).

So in the end, after much of my nagging and sa1-jiao1ing, she relented and drove me to Manyun's house :D:D:D. first, at her house, i went to her room, turned on the aircon, and started talking haha. very nice, relaxing, and yes....ji slaaaaaaaacky. coz it was too hot outside. oh, did i forget to mention that i lugged my ROLLERBLADES and 2 BADMINTON RACKETS and a SHUTTLECOCK to her house? :D:D:D then we had LUNCH, which was not too filling, but nevertheless quite good. aFter which we went to play badminton in the squash court, and was (kind of) insulting the guard behind his back (yes manyun pointed her 3rd finger at the guard) coz he KEPT INTERRUPTING OUR GAME!!! laaame. we had a NICE game of badminton, played until we were all hot, sweaty, and exhausted. good thing it was indoors, coz it was REALLY SWELTERING and SUNNY outside.

after that, we went back to her house, took a "health drink" of ice cold water PLUS Vit C (orange flavour) tablets, which i kept likening to "poison" coz it kept fizzling haha. then we went down again! i rollerbladed, and she skateboarded. it was VERY FUN! well first there was this rather STEEP slope, and since my rollerblades were new and good (thus glided VERY EASILY), and i knew how to accelerate but NOT to BRAKE, therefore i was afraid i'd slam into some cars while sliding down and break my neck haha, therefore, i side-walked all the way down the slope, clutching Manyun at the same time (in case i fell) haha. s0 comical! near the end of the slope, when i realised that there was a roundabout and thus had no need to brake, I skated all the way down the slope and went round the round-about TWICE (for fun haha. i like roundabouts).

after that there was this stretch of road (Sunset Way) which was very nice to skate, and gently sloping, so i was HAPPILY rollerblading away, then at the slope i didn't have to rollerblade at all! all i had to do was just keep my skates straight and the rest of the skating was done by gravity's pull! it was SO EXHILARATING i tell you, not to mention xiao1 sa3 too, what with the wind blowing in your hair, ruffling it, and at the side, all the green leaves in the tall trees rustling in the oncoming breeze, and the radiant glow of the afternoon sun shining from the side at you. realli an ENJOYABLE experience. just that i underestimated the steepness of the slope, and tried accelerating, then it started sloping more steeply and i couldn't control my speed and nearly fell down when i TRIED braking. i was yelling all the time, but gave up trying to brake, and rather ENJOYED the fast speed. in fact, i WOULD have ENJOYED the exhilaration the speed gave TREMENDOUSLY had it not been countered by my anxiety that i'd crash into a car / run into a dead end. in the end, after slowing down (by doing u-turns), i looked behind, and Manyun was just a silhouette in the distance, waving at me. haha so funny! i started rollerblading fast back, overshot her, did a U-turn, slowed down, and came back to her (banging into a car parked at the side). she reminded me AGAIN that you can't go as fast on a skateboard, which is quite true. but it defeats the purpose of skating -- speed and thrill :P:P:P skateboards can't go down the (rather gentle) slope i went down, and can't go that fast. hmm I dont' think i'd want to skateboard. sounds ....s l o w. but it's easy to transport around, SOUNDS *emphasise on "sounds"* cool, but is ...not as fast and smooth as rollerblades, and they make a whole lot of noise too, unlike rollerblades (well, MY rollerblades at least), which are quiet and sleek and polished and black haha. then we decided to get back to her house since my mom was going to pick me up, and on the way back, went up a STEEP slope, but i was afraid to go down the STEEP SLOPE so we took the STAIRS instead. laaame haha. i was walking on the grass beside the concrete steps, and clutching on to her. then we came to a slope which led to a bridge, and though it was gentle, I didn't dare go down since i was afraid i'd trip over (the concrete steps at the end was rough). then her caucasian neighbour came running up with his dog and (since i was afraid of dogs), i forgot abt all else and skated down the slope. haha sho funny! they were like, laughing hard at me. arrrgh NO FAIR!! ganging up on me, huh? LOL.

Then we went to her house, and her neighbours came, and we had a GREAT time chatting and playing. Then i went HOME! End of exciting events for this day.
