Back from holiday in M'sia/Thailand! I haven't finished editing / typing my travelogue which I've already written in my journal, so I won't post it as yet. Currently I'm rather caught up in the Peter Pan craze. It's so frustrating that the movie will only be released in Singapore on January 29th 2004!!! The earliest release date is December 16th, but that's in Australia. Go to the fan sites and get photo stills of the movie! Peter Pan is absolutely cool! (oh well don't mind me) Hmmm, maybe I'll get the pirated VCD -- I can watch it earlier. Haha, kidding. Anyway I came across this poem written by a Peter Pan fan, and it really is quite nice. So here it is:
Said Peter Pan to His Mirror As Tinker Bell's light grew dim Peter stood there, cocky, hands on hips, defiant, denying that yet one more child did not believe-- Wendy-bird flew into his memory: she who gave thimblesful of love she who mended a runaway shadow she who read and tucked him into dreams she who grew grey (as mothers will) she who flew alongside clouds and clocks, stars and swirls of night and then straight on until morning... And though he never, ever cried, a tear slid down his freckled nose, dropped onto his upturned tongue, satisfied his thirst to know what growing up can be. "It is salty," said he; "I need Wendy." For Wendy would mend his shadow again and never again would he or she confuse kisses with thimbles.
